Volunteers are needed to teach the "Smoke Free" Classes to students. Also, volunteers are needed to stamp brochures, mailings and do office work. Questions about lung health? Free counseling with Registered Nurses, Respiratory Therapists and Quit -smoking specialists. Quality information when you need it most: lung cancer, asthma, allergies, emphysema, smoking cessation, environmental health, pulmonary diseases and much more. The Tobacco QUITLINE helps people quit smoking. The professional staff and registered nurses and smoking cessation specialists are trained to provide the assistance you need. Quitline services are: free, confidential, convenient and accessible. Camp Superkids Summer Camp for children with asthma June 13 - 18, 2004 YMCA Camp Duncan, Illinois. Children 7-12 with moderate to severe asthma. Through educational activities, campers learn to understand and manage their illness while improving their self-esteem. Campers must Be: * Diagnosed by a physician with moderate to severe asthma * Taking daily prescribed asthma medications * Between the ages of 7-12 * Living in Illinois (outside of Cook County) Cost is $250.00 per camper. Financial assistance is available for families who may be unable to pay the full registration fee; payment plans may also be set up for those interested in paying in installments. The camp is staffed 24 hours a day by physicians, registered nurses and registered respiratory therapists in order to meet the special needs of the campers.
