Program/Service Notes

Children's Division - Child-Adult Resource Services, Inc. (C.A.R.S.) provides the following services for children and their families: Head Start, Early Head Start, Healthy Families, Early Intervention, Morgan County Developmental Preschool Program. HEAD START: A comprehensive preschool program for low-income families with children ages 3-5. C.A.R.S. provides Head Start services in the following Indiana counties: Clay, Putnam, Owen, Hendricks and Morgan. EARLY HEAD START: A comprehensive program for low-income families beginning when the mother becomes pregnant and continuing until the child is 3 years of age. The program operates in Owen, Clay and Putnam counties in Indiana. HEALTHY FAMILIES: A family support program designed to assist at-risk families in becoming self-sufficient. Services may begin when the mother becomes pregnant and continue until the child is five years of age.
