ADULT SERVICES - Child-Adult Resource Services, Inc. provides the following services to adults with disabilities: Residential Services, Vocational Evaluation; Community Employment Services; Personal, Social and Community Services and Organizational Work Services. Eligibility requirements are dependent on program. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age for all program. RESIDENTIAL SERVICES: C.A.R.S. offers supervised group living programs. C.A.R.S. operates four group homes, providing residents with 24 hour a day support as well as training in areas of daily living skills. Training areas include cooking, self-medicating, money management, socialization, behavior management and community access. C.A.R.S. operates two homes for only male residents, one in Clinton, Indiana and one in Kingman, Indiana. One home is available to only women, located in Brazil, Indiana. A coed home is located in Attica, Indiana. VOCATIONAL EVALUATION: This program assists individuals in determining vocational interests, skills and abilities through standardized testing, interest inventories, interviews, work opportunities and observation. Services may be based at one of C.A.R.S.' facilities or may be community-based. COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT SERVICES: This program assists individuals in obtaining and maintaining employment within the community. Employment Services provides a careful match of employee abilities to job requirements, specialized training for the supported employee and employer and follow-up services, as needed. Services are available in Parke, Vermillion, Fountain, Warren, Montgomery, Clay, Putnam and Vigo Counties in Indiana. PERSONAL, SOCIAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICES: This program assists individuals in developing community connections and provides training for the purpose of increased independence in areas such as daily living, personal health and safety, socialization, communication, education, recreation, work attitudes and skill exploration. Services are available to residents of Parke, Vermillion, Clay, Fountain and Warren Counties. ORGANIZATIONAL WORK SERVICES: This program provides paid job training to individuals who work at, or are based out of, one of C.A.R.S.' workshops. Services are available to residents of Parke, Clay, Fountain, Warren and Vermillion Counties.
