EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM: Available to those who are pending a decision from the Department of Human Services. (This service is available ONCE IN A 12 MONTH PERIOD). FINANCIAL & MEDICAL ASSISTANCE: Offered to those individuals who qualify. This general assistance is designed to assist persons and/or families in meeting basic living expenses. Basic living expenses include such items as food, shelter, utilities, household supplies, clothing, personal essentials, medical and any other expenses considered essential to the health and well-being of the individual and/or family. MONTHLY ASSISTANCE GRANT: To those persons eligible REFERRAL SERVICES: Offered to other agencies including: TANF, ECICAA, Grant Township Cupboard, Hoopeston Multi-Agency, Job Service, Social Security Administration, JTP, Women's Alternative Center, Vermilion Co. Housing Authority, Ministerial Association of Hoopeston. FOOD CUPBOARD: A one week supply of food to supplement food stamps or help through a crisis. NOTARY SERVICES Eligibility requirements depend on assistance requested. Township services are based on residency, age, income, & asset levels. There are 46 non financial and 2 financial requirements. If referred to the township, there will be a prescreening and instructions on the necessary documents to bring in.
