The Illinois Veterans' Home - LaSalle is a 120 bed skilled care nursing home for Illinois Veterans who served during periods of war. Each Veteran's monthly charge is based on his or her ability to pay from their personal monthly income. The adjusted rate is affordable to all. The Home's monthly charge covers: room, meals, laundry, haircuts and shaves, medications and all authorized medical costs not covered by Medicare or supplemental health insurance. It does not cover the purchase of wheelchairs,dentures, eye glasses, walkers, braces or other medical items. The Home will assist the veteran in obtaining any needed item at an affordable price.
