Adolescent Outpatient: In-facility and in schools drug & alcohol assessment, education and treatment services for youth 12 - 18 years experiencing abuse or addiction(s) to drug(s). Family therapy and referrals to other behavioral health providers or in-patient rehabilitation programs also available. * Support Groups for Youth: AA/NA * Anger Management Groups by gender Extended Care: Extended care is a program for persons who have completed residential treatment at the center or another facility. The program allows clients to continue in a supportive environment outpatient while they pursue employment, school or other outside activities. Intensive Outpatient: Day treatment and evening programs are available to accommodate employment, or other obligations of clients. Drug and alcohol information and specialized treatment groups are provided in this setting. Programs specifically designed for women are available. D.U.I. Program: Education and counseling is offered for persons referred by the courts for driving under the influence of alcohol. Available to the public, this program is designed to deter future D.U.I. arrests. It can also help to detect problem drinkers and provide referral for treatment. Fulfills Secretary of State requirements for regaining driver's license. AIDS Education: An AIDS specialist is on staff to provide counseling to individuals at risk for AIDS. Training is available for clients and service providers. Prevention Through Education: The prevention and community education program deals with substance abuse problems and related issues as well as the prevention of chemical dependency. The staff is available to address all ages and groups throughout the service area using current materials and innovative techniques. Prairie Center also has counseling and groups with the primary purpose of helping those around the client help the client and themselves. Parent training in the workplace. Utilize Basic Life Skills for youth, and evidence-based curriculum. Workplace Program/Insurance Clients The Prairie Center Employee Assistance Program is available to businesses to help employees and families with problems affecting their personal lives or job performance. Training of supervisory staff and consultation is available. Licensed counselors provide in-facility behavioral health counseling sessions to employees covered by company insurance. Drug Court: Treatment for adults with drug-related felony conviction and an addiction who would otherwise be sentenced to the department of corrections. Court services, mental health, public attorneys, and treatment professionals work as team with Drug Court Judge in intensive alternative to incarceration program in long-term drug treatment program.
