The Alzheimer's Association is the world leader in Alzheimer research and support. Mission Statement Our mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research and to enhance quality care and support for individuals, their families and care partners. Vision Our vision is a world without Alzheimer's disease. Services I. Coast-to-coast network of 81 Chapters and more than 300 local services. II. Nationwide Contact Center Hotline, which offers 24/7 information, referral and care consultants in 140 languages to 100,000 callers annually. III. Safe Return program, which has 128,000 registrants and has facilitated the return of more than 10,000 patients who wandered. IV. Advocacy for greater public funding for research and equitable Medicare policy and reimbursement along with lobbying government bodies for need changes. V. We are the largest private funders for Alzheimer's Research, awarding 93 research projects in 2005 for a total of 17.8 million.
