The County Sheriff is the chief law enforcement officer of Warren County in general. Along with his deputies, duties and powers include: * arrest, without process, of all persons who, within their view, commit any offense * to take the arrested before the county court * and to detain them in custody until the cause of arrest is investigated. The Sheriff's Office resides in the new Warren County Jail building in Williamsport.
