Families United, Inc. is a comprehensive, home-based, family-centered service which has provided intensive in-home support to children and families since 1986. PRIMARY SERVICES OFFERED: * Intensive Casework - (Home based case management for high risk abuse/neglect cases) ADDITIONAL SERVICES: * Family Diagnostics * Family Therapy * Couple & Marital Counseling * Adoption Studies & Counseling * Individual Counseling * Respite Care (as available) * Outpatient Counseling Services (all mental health needs) - $30 to $60 if no insurance Families United, Inc. also offers a program for SEXUAL ABUSE INTERVENTION AND TREATMENT called Hope & Recovery. This is a comprehensive, community-based, out-patient treatment program which has been designed to be provided to families and individuals who have perpetrated or become victims of sexual abuse. Fees for this service are usually $35 per group. Programs provided through Hope & Recovery include: * Young Female Survivors/Siblings (ages 9-12) * Middle Female Survivors/Siblings (ages 13-15) * Older Female Survivors/Siblings (ages 16-19) * Caregivers I. Non-Offending (Adults-Parents, Male & Female) * Caregivers II. Non-Offending (Parents) * Male Offenders (Adult Men) * Mixed Boys/Girls Play Therapy (ages 6-8) * Mixed Boys/Girls Play Therapy (ages 4-5) * Young Male Offenders (Boys 11-14) * Middle Male Offenders (ages 15-17) REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRANCE INTO THE OFFENDER PROGRAM: * The offender must make an admission that the offense occurred. * Participation for treatment must be mandatory (court ordered). * Treatment should involve the whole family. * Treatment needs to be long term (2-5 years). * The offender must be responsible for payment when at all possible (court ordered). * Treatment should involve a variety of components (individual, family, group). * There must be sanctions for non-compliance or failure. HEALTHY FAMILIES INDIANA / Fountain, Warren, Benton, & White counties: An in-home service, free of charge, to any parents of newborns providing child development education and support. A volunteer program with funding provided by children's trust fund, TANF/M&E & HFI and county child welfare dollars. Weekly home visits in addition to clusters and parenting classes. SUPERVISED VISITATION PROGRAM: This program is designed to provide parents or caregivers and children who are not living together the opportunity to spend time with one another. The goal of the program is to allow children and their parents or caregivers to continue their attachment to one another even though their situation has led to separation. The Supervised Visitation program meets the needs of those parents or caregivers and children involved in a CHINS proceeding as well as those involved in custody situations. This program serves families in Benton, Fountain, Montgomery, Putnam, Tippecanoe, Warren and White Counties. ANGER MANAGEMENT CLASS: Adult males ages 18 and over who are either voluntary or court ordered and who are willing to learn to understand and manage their own anger may attend. The classes are conducted at the offices of Families United, Inc. in Attica at 303 S. Perry Street every Monday night from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. There are three cycles of classes each lasting 16 weeks. Cycles begin the first Mondays of June, October and February. If a cycle has started, you must wait until that 16 week cycle is completed to enroll in the next cycle. (You will only be allowed to be absent from one class per cycle for completion of the course.) The cost is $35.00 per session to be paid at each session. The fee includes the cost of books and materials as well as written reports to referral sources. Call Kathi Lange at (765) 762-0611 to enroll.
