Vermilion Garden Apartments is owned and managed by Hispanic Housing Development Corporation (HHDC) with over 30 years experience in residential development. HHDC does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status in the admission or access to or treatment or employment in, its federally assisted programs and activities. Applicants may be eligible for a preference if one of the following conditions applies: Displaced because of a governmental action or displaced as result of a presidentially declared disaster. Households qualifying for a preference will receive housing before any other applicant households that are not so qualified. Applicants who believe they qualify for a housing preference must complete and return appropriate certification form. Heat, hot water and sewer included with rent; central air; complete kitchens with full size appliances; cable/internet ready; on-site management office; 24-hour emergency maintenance service; on-site laundry facilities; parking available; playground/in ground pool; computer learning center; Danville Mass Transit bus line access on the property. All interested persons must call the management office at (217) 446-0475 for their names to be placed on the interested persons list. They will receive a letter with a pre-application card by mail, which will provide them wit the necessary information required. All pre-applicants will go through an interview process that includes: current and prior landlord verifications, income verifications, criminal/credit checks and home visits for housekeeping standards. Eligible pre-applicant(s) will be placed on a waiting list based on the postmark date of the returned pre-application card. Vermilion Garden Apartments are income restricted and management must certify residents' income to qualify. A preference will be given to applicants whose income is below 30% of the median income. Rents are based on income.
